I’m so glad that you’re part of the Over_Under project, helping to keep 5,000 t-shirts out of landfills by the end of 2026. To date you’ve helped keep 300+ shirts out of landfills, I can’t complete this project without you and your friends.
You will have creative block until you start to create, and then if you pay attention and listen, the ideas will flow and continue to flow as long you respect them enough and attempt to bring them to life.
Among my list of meetings and to-do lists, you'll find random questions scribbled throughout my notes; one asks, what is the cushiest panel you can weave? I was hoping to have the answer by today, as I'm sure you're dying to know; you've also been thinking about it for days. I mean, really, what is the softest, lushiest panel that I can weave from t-shirts? I don't know because it was also determined that I needed to sew a new summer dress for the 4th of July (still in progress), which meant that I needed to patch pieces of fabric together to have enough large pieces. And I launched my postcard project last week. I also need to name the project something better because the “postcard project” is rather dull and does not make you want to give me your address so I can send you mail. The two names that are in the running are....
No one sends mail anymore, which is why sending mail is magical. Getting a handwritten letter gets your attention; it makes you feel special because you are, of course, and it takes me back to being 10 years old, writing a neighborhood newspaper and selling it for $.25, except, in this project, inflation does not exist, because I'm not selling you anything.
Claim your mail: It’s 100% FREE. I make the postcard, pay for the postage, and you enjoy the note.
