I've always told my students they should create thumbnails or sketches before starting their final piece, and I've never adopted that into my creative practice. When I began to illustrate books, I needed to find a way that worked for me, not what everyone told me to do or what seemed to work for others. Once I found my style and process, it transformed everything, and I'm excited to share it with you today.
