Day 10 : Publish Your Book
I mailed a few books to friends this week, returned a few to the local library, and bought a new one at PocketBooks, a local bookshop. Can you ever have too many books? Imagine how fun it is when some of the books are ones that you’ve created. When do you get to send a book that you made to your friends? When you see your book on the bookshelf! You have a story to tell. You have ideas, information, and a vivid imagination; don’t allow the endless barriers of working with an agent and large publishing house to keep you from creating and sharing your work.
Share your work with local schools. Stash your books in little libraries for others to discover as they walk down the street.
Now that we agree, let’s make your first plan. You joined this course for a reason. You are 65% more likely to reach your goals if you share them with others, so I will keep prompting you to comment and tell me about your book publishing goal.
How much time will you commit to reaching your goal each week? When are you going to do the work and where? Do you have a desk or table where you can write, illustrate, and work? How can you adjust the space so you’re more excited to show up every day?
